The Mitutoyo 143-121 mechanical caliper type micrometer delivers precise measurements on recessed features which regular micrometers are unable to achieve. The Mitutoyo caliper type micrometer features jaws constructed of hardened steel with carbide measuring surfaces and a hardened steel spindle to take precise measurements on recessed features. The micrometer’s ratchet stop mechanism provides a constant measuring force on the spindle to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements. The combination of the ratchet thimble and speeder enables a rapid spindle feed when measuring extensive dimensions for easy one-handed measurements.
